SuiteRulesCanada is an independent planning reference. It helps you find and understand current housing rules, but it does not replace a permit decision or advice from the authority responsible for your property.
Information, not an approval
Property results, city guides, calculators and summaries are provided for general planning information. They are not legal advice, professional advice, a municipal service, a building permit, a zoning confirmation, or a guarantee that a project will be approved.
Rules can change and the result for a specific property can depend on zoning, servicing, parcel dimensions, covenants, development permits, building-code requirements and other facts that may not be available to the site. Before spending money or starting work, confirm the current requirements with the applicable municipality or other authority.
Property checker and source limits
We try to use current official sources and clearly distinguish parcel-level information from city-level guidance. Automated address, mapping and government-data services can be unavailable, delayed or incomplete. When the site says that more information or confirmation is needed, do not treat that as permission to build.
Free property review
A free property review is an informational follow-up based on the details you submit. It is not a professional opinion, municipal approval or guarantee of development potential. Where described on the form, SuiteRulesCanada may share the request with one local property professional so that person can follow up about the same property review.

SuiteRulesCanada links to official government sources and may also link to other sites in the same website portfolio, including HomeCostCanada, HomeSelect and BCQuote.
